Create a user account

Overview

For security purposes, each person using TaxLab should have their own individual user account. An organisation in TaxLab represents users who share the same email domain. When you sign up with an email address that shares a domain with an existing TaxLab user, you’ll automatically be connected to the same organisation.

While your user account will automatically be linked to your organisation in TaxLab, you won't have access to any entities until a user with full access grants you the necessary permissions.

Sign up online

  1. Go to https://taxlab.online/
  2. Select Sign up from the top right of the navigation bar.
  3. Next to 'Don’t have an account?' select Sign up now.
  4. Enter your email address (we recommend using your workplace email address so you can be connected to your workplace's organisation).
  5. Select the Send verification code button.
  6. Check your email inbox for a verification message from microsoftonline.com containing a verification code. Verification codes are valid for 5 minutes.
  7. Enter the verification code and select the Verify code button.
  8. Create a password adhering to the following criteria:
    • Between 10 and 64 characters
    • Must include at least 3 of the following: a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a digit, a symbol.
  9. Provide a Display Name, your Given Name, and Surname.
  10. Tick the checkbox indicating that you have read and accepted our terms of use and privacy policy, then select the Sign up button.

After selecting the Sign up button you’ll be automatically prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA).
